Gaming Architect

About the role

Betsson Group is looking for a senior Gaming Architect to define and govern the architecture of scalable, resilient, and secure backend services for its global gaming platform. You will translate product, operational and regulatory requirements into robust technical designs across game management, gameplay, provider integrations, player wallets, promotions, responsible gaming and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve the target architecture for gaming backend services, ensuring alignment with business strategy and platform landscape.
• Translate functional and non‑functional requirements into solution designs, integration contracts, architecture decisions and technical roadmaps.
• Design domain‑driven solutions for game management, gameplay, player‑wallet interactions, provider integration, promotions and regulatory capabilities.
• Specify and standardise APIs, asynchronous events, real‑time messaging, REST, event streaming, queues and webhooks for internal and external integrations.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, performance and transactional integrity of high‑volume gaming services.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in designing and delivering cloud‑native, high‑scale backend systems.
• Strong systems thinking with a practical understanding of online gaming environments.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with product, engineering, security, data, compliance and external partners.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex architectural concepts to diverse stakeholders.
