Financial Accounting Manager

About the role

MeDirect is seeking a Financial Accounting Manager to join its Finance team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will oversee accounting and reporting for the Group's lending, investment and hedging portfolios, ensuring accurate and insightful financial information that supports business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounting and financial reporting for mortgage, corporate lending and investment portfolios, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
• Review monthly management reporting and ensure timely delivery.
• Manage accounting for funding structures and hedge accounting, complying with IFRS and Group policies.
• Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and new products.
• Support internal and external audits and resolve audit findings.
• Coach and mentor team members to maintain high‑quality delivery.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA, ACA or equivalent) with 8+ years in financial accounting, reporting or audit.
• Strong applied IFRS knowledge and experience resolving complex accounting matters.
• Solid understanding of financial instruments, treasury activities and hedge accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder management skills.
