Finance Officer

About the role

Salvo Grima Group, a group of companies founded in 1860 and employing over 530 people across eight countries, is looking for a full-time Finance Officer to join its growing finance team in Malta. The role covers general accounting, reporting and administrative support.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general accounting duties, including client invoicing
• Check, process and post sales and purchases invoices, supplier payments and reconciliations
• Post bank transactions, bank reconciliations and process commissions paid to agents and clients
• Collect cash sales (cash and cheques), prepare deposits and process them through the accounting system
• Issue monthly or weekly reports and carry out data entry, reconciliations and other analysis as required
• Provide general reporting, office and administrative support, including record keeping
• Support the Finance Manager and team members where required

Required profile

• O' Level standard of education in Accounts or a similar subject
• Previous experience in a similar role is an asset
• Fluent English, written and spoken; fluency in Maltese or another European language is an asset
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and within a team

Required skills

• Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
