Experienced Fishmonger – Malta

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Fishmonger to join a well‑established hospitality operation in Malta. The successful candidate will handle, prepare, and portion fresh fish and seafood while upholding the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Selecting, cleaning, scaling, filleting and portioning fish and seafood.
• Preparing seafood according to kitchen requirements.
• Ensuring proper storage and handling of fresh products.
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene and safety standards.
• Keeping the fish preparation area clean and organised.
• Collaborating closely with the kitchen and culinary team.
• Minimising waste while preserving product quality.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Fishmonger or in a similar seafood preparation role.
• Strong knowledge of different types of fish and seafood.
• Reliable, organised and professional attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy hospitality environment.
• Eligibility to work in Malta.

• Knife handling and precision filleting.
