Assistant Front Office Manager

About the role

The Assistant Front Office Manager supports the Front Office Manager in daily operations of the hotel’s reception and concierge areas. You will help ensure every guest receives a warm, professional experience from arrival to departure while leading a dedicated front‑office team.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise Front Desk and Concierge staff to guarantee smooth, efficient service.
• Handle guest check‑in and check‑out procedures and resolve complaints promptly.
• Prepare shift reports covering guest feedback, room availability and housekeeping status.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping and other departments to meet guest needs.
• Train and support new front‑office team members according to hotel policies.
• Maintain compliance with grooming, dress code and brand standards.
• Update the property management and reservation systems and process guest payments accurately.
• Balance cash drawers and ensure correct financial handling at shift end.

Required profile

• Based in Malta with fluency in English and at least one additional language (Spanish, Italian, French or German).
• Formal qualification from a recognised hotel or hospitality school (preferred).
• Previous experience in hotel front‑office operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership, team‑building and communication abilities.
• Highly organised with excellent time‑management skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, evenings and public holidays.
