Client Accountant

About the role

BDO Malta is seeking a Client Accountant to join its Accounts Outsourcing team in Msida. You will work closely with both local and international clients, providing on‑site and off‑site accounting support while developing your technical expertise within a collaborative, high‑performance environment.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out accounting assignments and related tasks as required.
• Provide off‑site and on‑site support to clients, including preparation of inter‑company debt notes and settlement of current accounts.
• Maintain ledgers, perform monthly reconciliations, and prepare VAT returns.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and year‑end accounts, tax computations, and financial statements.
• Post balance‑sheet checklists and respond to auditor queries.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an accounting environment.
• University degree or partial/full ACCA qualification.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with strong numerical accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
• Capability to meet strict deadlines.
