Category Sales Specialist - Nike Sportswear and Jordan Brand

About the role

Hudson is recruiting a Category Sales Specialist for the Nike brand, covering Nike Sportswear and Jordan Brand, reporting to the Group Senior Sales Manager. The role provides category sales leadership by executing distribution strategies that deliver maximum revenue, profit and market share. The territory of operation is Malta, North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa, with a focus on Lagos, Nairobi, Casablanca and Algiers.

Key responsibilities

• Drive product segmentation and allocation across distribution channels and contribute to short- and long-term category forecasting
• Develop annual and seasonal sales and gross margin targets at territory and client level, and monitor progress from gross futures to net revenues
• Analyse the retail landscape of each country and key city and create category distribution maps to identify the best distribution opportunities
• Create seasonal account and concept assortments and work with the planning and account teams on door-level assortment plans
• Prepare sell-in materials such as product catalogues and presentations, and lead category sales and pitch-back presentations
• Take part in the selling process for critical category accounts and act as the category expert for the internal sales team and customers
• Share insights on consumer trends, market size, retail development and competition with the Category Sales Team, and take part in seasonal brand sales and business reviews

Required profile

• 3 years of experience in sales, retail management, product marketing or retail presentation
• Strategic account and regional sales experience with large volume preferred
• Proven ability to guide, coach and support customers, employees and managers
• Team player who can inspire others through the culture of the Nike brand

Required skills

• Strong understanding of sales processes, policies and procedures
• Understanding of the competitive market, customers and retail trends
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
