AI Research Lab Founding Engineer (100% remote)

About the role

EWOR is building a brand‑new AI Research Lab and seeks a Founding Engineer to shape its core technology from the ground up. This is a fully remote, high‑impact position where you will turn strategic vision into production‑ready AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead 0‑to‑1 initiatives in AI research, defining roadmaps from prototype to scalable production.
• Architect and implement end‑to‑end AI systems, ensuring performance, reliability and future growth.
• Translate high‑level strategy into concrete execution plans and drive critical milestones.
• Collaborate directly with the department founder and a world‑class team of engineers, researchers and commercial leaders.
• Position the new department for rapid expansion and potential spin‑off to attract institutional backing.

Required profile

• Based in Europe or the Americas (or open to remote arrangements).
• High‑agency builder mindset with proven domain expertise and a track record of end‑to‑end ownership.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
