Accounts Executive – Finance Team

About the role

We are looking for an Accounts Executive to join our head‑office finance team at Malta’s leading hospitality and leisure operator. You will support the finance function by maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring efficient processing of transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices, matching them with approved purchase orders and quotations.
• Reconcile supplier statements and prepare payments.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable activities.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and general ledger entries.
• Liaise with internal departments and suppliers to resolve discrepancies.
• Support accruals and pre‑payments analysis.
• Assist in month‑end closing procedures.
• Prepare ad‑hoc reports for the Financial Controller.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of Shireburn accounting software is an asset.
