About the role
The Academy Officer will support the Financial Supervisors Academy in delivering high‑quality training programmes for the MFSA workforce. You will coordinate internal training activities, maintain curriculum relevance, and act as the main point of contact for employees’ learning needs.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and organise internal training sessions, workshops and learning activities across the MFSA, handling scheduling, logistics and end‑to‑end delivery.
- Support curriculum development and maintenance to ensure programmes stay current with MFSA’s mandate and international regulatory trends.
- Manage relationships with lecturers and trainers, including onboarding, scheduling and ongoing liaison.
- Maintain and develop digital knowledge libraries, ensuring training materials are well‑organised and accessible.
- Assist in the design and delivery of coaching programmes and self‑development pathways for higher‑education studies.
- Conduct research to inform training content, curriculum design and best practices.
- Track and monitor budgets related to internal training activities.
- Collect feedback after training sessions, compile effectiveness reports and update the training system.
- Provide logistical support and answer employee queries regarding training registration and participation.
Required profile
- National Qualification Framework Level 6 or higher (or equivalent professional qualification) certified by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre.
- At least three years of experience in training, learning and development or a related field (or seven years of experience if the formal qualification is not held).
Required skills
- Technical knowledge in training and development.
- Research and analytical abilities to keep programmes evidence‑based.
- Familiarity with financial services regulation is an asset.
