About the role

The Graduate Development Programme at Chetcuti Cauchi Advocates offers ambitious full‑time students a paid, practical experience within a leading Maltese law firm. Interns will gain exposure to corporate and commercial law, working alongside experienced lawyers on real client matters. The programme combines hands‑on tasks with structured mentorship to build a solid legal foundation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teams with research on Maltese and EU legislation, regulatory frameworks, and case law.
• Support lawyers in preparing internal memos, legal analyses, client‑facing research, and strategic briefs.
• Help communicate with clients, authorities, regulatory bodies, foreign counsel, and external advisors under supervision.
• Contribute to client onboarding procedures across assigned departments.
• Prepare and organise legal, corporate, immigration, and tax documents, updating internal systems and maintaining accurate records.
• Shadow lawyers and senior associates to gain practical exposure to file management, advisory work, and client interactions.

Required profile

• Ambitious full‑time student at tertiary level or beyond.
• Willingness to learn, demonstrate initiative and professionalism.
• Ability to support departmental teams with administrative or project‑based tasks.
