Senior Engineer, Quality Control (QC)

About the role

Baxter is looking for a Senior Engineer, Quality Control (QC) to join its team in Marsa, Malta. The role supports and coordinates quality control activities across incoming, in-process and finished product testing, ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer and Baxter quality requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Handle quality issues arising during manufacturing and during in-process and finished product testing
• Manage the hold process for non-conforming raw materials, sub-assemblies and finished products
• Maintain sampling plans and acceptance criteria to meet internal and customer quality requirements
• Implement and follow the labelling process for new or revised labelling, and support Global Labelling on manufacturing-related matters
• Coordinate the QC laboratory team and manage daily activities across all QC sections
• Own NCRs and CAPAs, investigate product issues and take part in investigation teams
• Support internal and external audits, perform internal audits and in-process assessments
• Support manufacturing and R&D projects, including product improvement and new product development
• Help adopt LEAN initiatives and take part in continuous improvement
• Work according to procedures aligned with EN ISO 13485, implement corrective actions from audits within set timeframes and follow EHS, good laboratory and documentation practices

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Life Sciences or a related technical field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role or another engineering-related position
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Team-oriented, able to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships
• Able to coordinate and lead team activities
