Senior Business Development Manager

About the role

Convera, a global leader in commercial payments, is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to drive B2B sales across Malta. The role involves building a pipeline of SME, corporate and blue‑chip clients, identifying opportunities, and delivering revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand the client base and meet targets.
• Manage the full 360‑degree sales process, from lead generation to contract negotiation.
• Use market data and Convera’s value proposition to generate leads via cold calls, networking, referrals and events.
• Present international payment solutions to key decision‑makers and maintain long‑term client relationships.
• Collaborate with internal teams (CRM, hedging, legal, finance) to ensure seamless service delivery and provide market feedback.
• Maintain accurate forecasts, performance metrics and Salesforce records.

Required profile

• 5+ years of B2B sales experience in international payments or financial services.
• 3‑6 years of experience with FX, payments or financial markets.
• Proven ability to engage C‑suite stakeholders and navigate gatekeepers.
• Strong business acumen, strategic account management and independent work ethic.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM tools such as Salesforce, Highspot and ZoomInfo.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite.
