Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to manage a portfolio of clients, oversee audit processes and ensure timely statutory compliance. You will work closely with management and junior team members to deliver high‑quality accounting services.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare management accounts and coordinate annual audit processes for assigned clients.
• Submit VAT returns, tax filings and other statutory submissions within deadlines.
• Review financial statements, complex disclosures and VAT returns prepared by junior staff.
• Mentor and supervise junior accountants, providing technical guidance and support.
• Liaise with internal departments to gather documentation for financial reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a client‑accounting environment.
• Fully qualified accountant with a recognised professional qualification.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, handling multiple assignments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.
• Experience using SAGE accounting software.
