Robotics Engineer

About the role

ST is seeking a highly skilled Robotics Engineer to design, implement, and optimise automated systems for its microelectronics manufacturing environment. You will work on advanced robotic solutions, including ARVs, robotics, and overhead transport, ensuring compliance with SEMI standards and enhancing efficiency, quality, and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise hardware and software components of advanced robotic systems.
• Create and implement algorithms for motion control, perception and decision‑making.
• Integrate sensors, actuators and control systems in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Support AMHS operations, maintain automation equipment and develop ARVs, robotics and overhead transport solutions.
• Ensure compliance with SEMI standards and enforce safety protocols.
• Conduct testing, validation and SECS/GEM characterisations, troubleshoot issues and deploy systems in dark‑factory zones.
• Stay updated on robotics and AI advancements and contribute to research initiatives.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation and reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience in robotics engineering within a microelectronics or high‑tech manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of SEMI standards, safety regulations and AMHS processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with production, logistics and maintenance teams.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on reliability and performance.
