Qualified Lawyer – Fintech & Investment Services

About the role

We are seeking a qualified lawyer to join our fintech and investment services team. The role involves advising fintech companies, investment firms and collective investment schemes on regulatory frameworks and supporting transactional matters.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on MFSA authorisation, permissions and ongoing compliance for fintech and investment clients.
• Guide clients through regulatory developments for digital assets, payment services, consumer credit and investment platforms.
• Support product launches, corporate structuring and regulatory change projects.
• Draft and review regulatory applications, compliance policies and client‑facing documentation.
• Produce thought‑leadership material such as briefing notes, client alerts and regulatory consultation responses.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the firm on cross‑practice matters.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with experience in or strong interest in fintech and investment services regulation.
• Excellent analytical and drafting abilities, capable of translating complex regulatory material into clear commercial advice.
• Collaborative working style and ability to work effectively within a close‑knit team.
• High attention to detail and commitment to delivering top‑quality work.
