QA Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a highly analytical QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of RS2’s complex payment systems. You will become a core contributor to our ecosystem, designing test strategies, automating test scripts, and validating intricate data flows. Comprehensive training on ISO 8583 and payment architectures will be provided.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute automated test scripts for system functionality and API integrations.
• Gain deep knowledge of online transaction processing, including flows between terminals, acquirers, issuers and card networks.
• Validate ISO 8583 messaging payloads, ensuring correct MTIs, bitmaps and field layouts.
• Utilize open‑source payment libraries such as jPOS and internal tools to simulate transaction routing.
• Perform root‑cause analysis on test failures, inspect logs and data payloads, and collaborate with developers to resolve complex issues.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance or a related software development role.
• Strong programming background in Java and comfortable with object‑oriented principles.
• Proficiency in JavaScript for writing assertions and scripts within Postman.
• Experience testing complex processing pipelines and parsing nested JSON, XML or raw text data.
