Programme Coordinator – Health & Holistic Wellbeing

About the role

The Programme Coordinator will oversee the planning, delivery and quality assurance of health‑focused academic programmes. Working closely with the Administration Manager, lecturers and quality committees, you will ensure that programmes meet MFHEA standards and MQF/EQF frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the planning, delivery and periodic review of assigned programmes in partnership with lecturing staff.
• Support research activities for both lecturers and students and assist with thesis and ethical approval processes.
• Monitor student progression, attendance and assessment timelines, providing support or referrals when needed.
• Ensure assessments, learning outcomes and teaching strategies align with MQF level descriptors.
• Assist with programme accreditation, audits and quality‑assurance documentation.
• Manage student placements, liaise with placement providers and resolve placement‑related issues.
• Address academic concerns raised by students or staff and escalate when necessary.
• Deliver lectures on agreed topics and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Organise and minute programme‑related meetings, providing regular updates to senior management.

Required profile

• Recognised qualification at MQF Level 6 or higher (or equivalent) in a healthcare field, preferably nursing.
• Experience in education administration and programme coordination.
• Strong organisational and coordination abilities.
• Knowledge of MFHEA quality‑assurance requirements.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Attention to academic detail and compliance.
