Legal and Compliance Officer

About the role

Andaria Financial Services Limited, a Maltese‑licensed Electronic Money Institution, is looking for a Legal and Compliance Officer to support its legal and regulatory functions. Reporting to the Head of Legal and Compliance, you will draft and review legal documents, analyse applicable regulatory frameworks and help the company meet its compliance obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Draft agreements, corporate policies, board and shareholder resolutions, and other legal documentation.
• Review commercial agreements and third‑party documents, identify legal and commercial risks and propose amendments.
• Analyse legislation, regulations and guidance relevant to the EMI business and assess their impact.
• Support the compliance function by assisting with policies, procedures and regulatory engagement.
• Conduct legal research across Maltese and EU legal and regulatory frameworks.
• Assist with regulatory correspondence and preparation of supporting documentation.

Required profile

• Master of Advocacy.
• Warrant to practise as an advocate in Malta.
• Strong fluency in English, both written and spoken, with ability to draft clear legal documentation.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and prioritise effectively.
