Human Resources Manager

About the role

Farrugia Group is looking for an experienced Group Human Resources Manager to lead all HR functions at Prime Care Limited, an elderly care home. The role ensures HR strategies, policies and practices support business objectives while fostering a positive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals and advise senior management on workforce planning.
• Oversee recruitment, from job posting to onboarding, ensuring fair and compliant hiring practices.
• Manage employee relations, handle grievances, lead investigations and disciplinary procedures.
• Design and maintain performance appraisal systems, support managers with KPIs and reviews.
• Identify training needs, design and coordinate internal and external training programmes.
• Oversee payroll coordination, benefits administration and conduct salary benchmarking.
• Develop, update and ensure compliance of HR policies, maintain accurate records and manage audits.
• Promote employee wellbeing, health and safety compliance, and monitor absence and sick leave.

Required profile

• Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years experience in a senior HR role.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills with high confidentiality.
• Ability to work in a multicultural, multidisciplinary team and under stressful conditions.
