Fraud Operations Manager (Hybrid) – Malta

About the role

We are seeking a Fraud Operations Manager to lead fraud risk activities within a high‑volume digital iGaming environment. The role combines operational leadership, risk management and compliance to protect business integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a small fraud team and collaborate with compliance, finance, technology and legal functions.
• Develop and own fraud monitoring frameworks and enhance detection capabilities.
• Handle financial risk events such as chargebacks and suspicious activity reviews.
• Translate data and operational insights into practical prevention measures.
• Maintain robust reporting standards and support governance and audit requirements.
• Contribute to the optimisation of internal fraud tools and rule sets.
• Engage with external vendors and regulatory bodies when required.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience leading or supervising fraud, risk or similar operational functions.
• Strong understanding of fraud patterns, investigative thinking and data‑led decision making.
• Proven ability to manage and develop a small team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Hands‑on knowledge of AML and KYC principles.
• Analytical mindset with structured problem‑solving skills.
