Financial Accountant

About the role

Cross Border Talents is looking for a dedicated and experienced Financial Accountant to join its team in Malta. This is a new position with opportunities for growth, focused on financial management accounting for new entities that will be set up. You will report to the Finance and Reports Manager and be part of the financial controlling team.

Required profile

• Demonstrated stability in employment history; candidates who have shown commitment to previous roles are preferred.
• Previous experience in Big 4 firms (EY, KPMG, Deloitte, PwC) in auditing and financial sectors, or in auditing firms, is highly preferred.
• Exposure to global environments through audit firms or companies with international operations.
• Experience in similar payment industries or gaming/financial services industries is advantageous.
• EU or Maltese citizenship is required; work permit visas are not provided. Candidates from Malta are prioritised, then Italy, Spain or Poland.
• Flexibility to work hybrid, with three days in the office and two at home.
• Willingness to complete a 6-month probation period, with salary consistent with the first month.
• Immediate availability is preferred because of the urgency of the role.
