Assistant Manager - Revenue Accounting (Airline)

About the role

Cross Border Talents is recruiting an Assistant Manager for Revenue Accounting in an airline business, based in the Malta office in Mosta. Reporting to the Airline Revenue Accounting Operations Manager, you will lead a team of revenue accounting technicians and coordinators. The position is full time, Monday to Friday, on an indefinite contract.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop a team of revenue accounting technicians and coordinators
• Implement new key clients and processes
• Support clients with analytical support and build strong client relationships
• Ensure adherence to SLAs and company budget
• Work with coordinators to set goals and refine processes
• Propose and implement process enhancements and efficiency improvements
• Support and lead system implementations, ensuring the integrity of migrations
• Monitor the quality of deliverables and perform ad-hoc duties as assigned

Required profile

• Thorough understanding of airline revenue accounting processes, including ticket sales, ancillary revenue, refunds and interline billing
• Familiarity with industry standards such as the IATA Revenue Accounting Manual
• Experience with complex revenue recognition and regulatory compliance
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and delegating tasks
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Required skills

• Analyzing large data sets to find trends, discrepancies and improvement opportunities
• Forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis
• Troubleshooting revenue data discrepancies and reconciling revenue records
• Working with technology teams to implement or upgrade systems
