Facilities Manager

About the role

The Facilities Manager will be based on‑site at FITCH Hotel in St Julian’s, Malta, overseeing the daily operation, maintenance and safety of the hotel’s buildings, systems and equipment. This full‑time position ensures that all facilities are kept in optimal condition to provide a comfortable and safe environment for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities across all building systems.
• Supervise facilities and maintenance staff, ensuring high performance and compliance.
• Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors and service providers.
• Monitor building performance, respond to incidents and guest‑impacting issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, service contracts and compliance documentation.
• Prepare and control the facilities budget, supporting capital improvement projects.
• Collaborate with other hotel departments to align facility operations with overall guest experience goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience in facilities or property management, preferably within hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire safety.
• Ability to plan and oversee preventive maintenance schedules and manage external contractors.
• Familiarity with health, safety and environmental regulations and documentation.
• Effective leadership and people‑management skills.
• Excellent organizational, time‑management and communication abilities in English.
• Local Electrician A & B License issued by competent authorities.
