Sommelier – Fine Dining Wine Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Sommelier to join our Front of House team. The successful candidate will enhance the guest experience through expert wine recommendations, thoughtful pairings and professional wine service.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional and personalised wine recommendations based on guests’ preferences and menu choices.
• Guide guests through the wine selection and assist them in choosing suitable wines and pairings.
• Present and serve wines according to fine‑dining standards.
• Maintain a high standard of wine service throughout the guest experience.
• Ensure wines are stored correctly and handled according to quality standards.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment requirements.
• Support beverage revenue through knowledgeable recommendations.
• Collaborate with the kitchen and Front of House team to ensure appropriate wine and food pairings.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Sommelier in a fine‑dining, luxury hotel or high‑end restaurant environment.
• Strong knowledge of wines, wine regions, grape varieties and food pairing.
• Formal wine qualification such as WSET Level 3+, Court of Master Sommeliers or equivalent (highly desirable).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest‑oriented approach.
• Genuine passion for wine and hospitality, with strong attention to detail.
• Good command of English; additional languages are an asset.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays according to the restaurant’s schedule.
