EPHS Officer

About the role

The EPHS Officer will report directly to the EPHS Manager and be responsible for maintaining the health, safety and environmental management systems across both sites in Naxxar, Malta. The role ensures compliance with legislation and promotes a safe working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular Health, Safety and Environmental risk assessments.
• Organise training of staff on Health, Safety and Environmental topics.
• Assist in ensuring site compliance through audits and regular inspections.
• Update, review, and monitor the Health, Safety and Environmental systems.
• Carry out studies and research to identify improvement solutions for the management system.
• Maintain the IPPC permit and ISO 14001 Environmental Management standard.
• Monitor environmental activities, waste management and water treatment.

Required profile

• Minimum of a degree in a related area (Master’s degree considered an asset).
• At least three years of experience in EPHS or a relevant field, preferably in a pharmaceutical/chemical environment.
• Desire to develop skills and knowledge in a fast‑paced business.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel).
• Proficiency in English and preferably Maltese.
