Engineering Technician – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

About the role

An experienced Engineering Technician is required to support the maintenance, reliability, and safe operation of production equipment and utilities within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The role combines preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment calibration, and technical troubleshooting to keep production running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and document scheduled preventive maintenance and corrective interventions on production machinery, utilities and related equipment.
• Carry out in‑house calibrations, support external technicians during subcontracted calibration activities, and execute equipment qualification protocols.
• Assist the Production Department with equipment setup for manufacturing runs.
• Maintain accurate records of spare parts used and ensure mechanical and electrical safety features remain functional.
• Perform cutting and welding activities when required and keep production areas, utilities, machinery and premises clean and safe.
• Support engineering projects and other facility‑related activities as needed.

Required profile

• Relevant technical qualification from MCAST or an equivalent institution.
• Electrical Licence A or B.
• Minimum two years of experience as a Technician or in a similar technical position.
• Good computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Self‑motivated, highly organised, results‑oriented and detail‑focused.
