Director of Sales & Marketing

About the role

The Director of Sales & Marketing leads the hotel’s revenue generation across rooms, dining outlets and events. Reporting to senior leadership, this role shapes brand positioning, drives market performance and ensures the property meets its budget, forecast and mix targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies aligned with the annual budget.
• Prepare, monitor and adjust the sales & marketing budget, providing monthly forecasts to finance.
• Analyse performance data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to achieve revenue goals.
• Coordinate sub‑departments to ensure unified objectives and optimal market mix.
• Build and nurture partnerships with luxury brands, airlines, DMCs, OTAs and travel agencies.
• Support pricing decisions and competitive set analysis in collaboration with the Director of Revenue.
• Oversee database growth through third‑party partnerships and manage the hotel’s customer database.
• Lead, motivate and train a high‑performing sales and marketing team, conducting performance appraisals and regular meetings.
