Development Team Lead

About the role

MeDirect is looking for a Development Team Lead to drive the technical strategy of its e‑banking and e‑wealth solutions. Reporting to the Head of Software Development, you will lead a team of developers, ensure high‑quality code delivery and collaborate with cross‑functional groups. The role requires relocation to the designated office location.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain robust, scalable enterprise back‑end solutions.
• Lead, mentor and inspire a team of developers, promoting best practices in code scalability and maintainability.
• Recruit, onboard and grow technical talent to strengthen the team.
• Define and execute unit and performance testing strategies to guarantee high‑quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with DevOps and other stakeholders to implement and deploy innovative features.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years in a leadership or team‑lead position.
• Degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field.

Required skills

• Expertise in the latest .NET technologies.
• Strong knowledge of unit testing frameworks, multi‑threading, concurrency and caching (e.g., Redis).
• Hands‑on experience with containerisation and deployment tools.
• Familiarity with message‑queuing systems such as RabbitMQ and Kafka.
• Deep experience with SQL databases (MS SQL, Oracle) and awareness of NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, GitLab and Gitflow.
