Banking Consultant – Banking Advisory

About the role

PwC is looking for a Banking Consultant to join its established Banking Advisory team within the Assurance line of service. The consultant supports banks and other financial institutions in Malta with financial and regulatory advice, as well as data, governance and risk management practices.

Key responsibilities

• Work directly with major banks and other financial institutions in Malta
• Help clients adapt to changing economic conditions and regulatory requirements, including ESG requirements
• Support financial forecasting, stress and scenario testing, risk evaluation and modelling alongside data science techniques
• Draft reports and presentations and use data visualisation to explain findings
• Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues and learn about the business of banking and risk management

Required profile

• 2-3 years of work experience in the Financial Services sector, with a strong consulting mindset
• Tertiary qualification in Accountancy, Banking & Finance, Management, Economics, Insurance or a related discipline
• Ability to draft and present reports to clients' senior management
• Team player with a positive, agile mindset, able to work in a fast-paced environment

Required skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good knowledge of SQL and Python or similar languages is an asset
