Audit Senior

About the role

AE Business Advisors is looking for a qualified Audit Senior to join its Assurance team in Malta. This full‑time role offers an experienced audit professional the chance to lead engagements, deepen client relationships, and mentor junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audit fieldwork and manage engagements from planning through completion.
• Review audit work, provide guidance, and support to junior team members.
• Identify and resolve audit and accounting issues efficiently.
• Liaise directly with clients and maintain strong professional relationships.
• Ensure assignments are completed within agreed deadlines and quality standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of audit processes and methodologies.

Required profile

• ACCA‑qualified or equivalent.
• Previous experience in external audit.
• Strong understanding of auditing and accounting standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
