Assistant Production Manager

About the role

The Assistant Production Manager will support the daily operations of a pharmaceutical manufacturing site operating under GMP regulations. The role ensures that manufacturing activities are carried out efficiently, safely and in full compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate production personnel and oversee daily manufacturing activities.
• Ensure production plans, schedules and departmental KPIs are met.
• Supervise manufacturing, packaging, equipment cleaning and in‑process controls.
• Review batch records, SOPs and other production documentation.
• Collaborate with QA on deviations, CAPAs and validation activities.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure staff receive appropriate training and follow health‑ and safety procedures.

Required profile

• Degree in Pharmacy, a STEM‑related discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum four years’ experience in a GMP‑regulated pharmaceutical environment.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical production and EU GMP requirements.
• Experience with SOPs, batch documentation, CAPAs and validations.
• Excellent organisational, leadership and problem‑solving abilities.
