Auditor – Financial Audits & Controls

About the role

Our client, a boutique Corporate Service Provider (CSP) within the financial services sector, is seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Auditor to join their team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in conducting financial audits, assessing internal controls, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial audits in line with International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
• Review and assess the effectiveness of financial and operational controls.
• Prepare and maintain audit documentation, working papers, and reports using Caseware International.
• Assist in the planning and execution of audits for a broad client base.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
• Identify risks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, providing recommendations to clients.
• Stay up to date with auditing regulations, financial reporting standards, and industry developments.

Required profile

• Located in Malta.
• 1‑2 years audit experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
• ACCA qualified or in the final stages of ACCA qualification (asset).
• Strong knowledge of International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• High attention to detail and strong problem‑solving abilities.
