Actuarial Senior Associate - Insurance

About the role

PwC is looking for an Actuarial Senior Associate to join its actuarial team in the insurance line of service. You will work closely with audit and non-audit clients and the multi-disciplinary insurance team to advise and provide assurance on actuarial matters. The opening was published on 15 July 2026 and closes on 30 June 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Solvency II: assess regulatory capital requirements
• Reserving: value technical provisions in line with Solvency II principles and prepare financial statement reserving
• Risk management and corporate governance for insurance clients
• Insurance license application matters
• IFRS 17 (Insurance Contracts): cash flow and risk adjustment estimation

Required profile

• Demonstrable 3+ years of actuarial experience in insurance, including risk and capital modelling
• Strong understanding of reserving, underwriting and catastrophe risks, with exposure to Solvency II (review of SFCRs, SCR calculations)
• Prior Big 4 experience and client-facing experience preferred
• Ability to coach junior actuarial team members
• Knowledge of IFRS 17 and IFoA qualification (or equivalent) considered an asset
