Accountant – Reporting & FP&A

About the role

KM Malta Airlines Limited is looking for an Accountant to join its Reporting and FP&A division. The role supports strategic financial decision‑making, planning and cost optimisation across the airline.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Reporting & FP&A with monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, including cash‑flow, P&L and balance‑sheet analysis.
• Support the preparation and closing of accounts and the production of financial statements.
• Ensure all transactions are recorded in line with GAAP, managing accounts payable, receivable, payroll and the general ledger.
• Coordinate budgeting activities and provide cost‑management support for assigned departments.
• Participate in internal audits and compliance checks to maintain strong internal controls.

Required profile

• Minimum three (3) years of experience in a finance‑related role.
• Degree in Accountancy or an equivalent professional qualification recognised by the MQRIC.
• Experience in the commercial aviation sector is desirable.
• Familiarity with Maltese aviation financial regulations is a plus.

Required skills

• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
