Accountant – AP & Cash Management

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our finance team in Malta. You will play a key part in managing accounts payable, cash and liquidity planning, and supporting the business control team in an international, multi‑jurisdictional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process the full cycle of accounts payable across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies and maintain strong relationships.
• Maintain and enforce AP policies to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Manage shared finance inboxes, handling queries, invoice submissions and payment approvals.
• Oversee settlement of funds from PSP to operational bank accounts and ensure regulatory balance requirements.
• Execute FX transfers cost‑effectively and handle intragroup liquidity planning.
• Prepare weekly liquidity meeting reports and payment lists.
• Maintain up‑to‑date financial records, assist with month‑end close, and perform journal entries.
• Conduct daily and weekly bank reconciliations and support internal and external audits.
• Handle intercompany transactions and ensure timely reconciliation across entities.

Required profile

• A Level or Diploma in Finance or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Accounts Officer or similar role, preferably in a multi‑jurisdictional setting.
• Analytical mindset with a passion for numbers and data.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an international team.
