Internal Quality Assurance Officer

About the role

The Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) Officer will be based at 21 Academy’s premises in Naxxar and will work full‑time to ensure that all courses and training programmes meet institutional and national quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain internal quality assurance procedures across all courses and programmes.
• Review course documentation and monitor assessment practices to ensure compliance.
• Support tutors in applying quality standards and coordinate regular audits and evaluations.
• Analyse feedback from learners and stakeholders, identify improvement areas and prepare clear reports and recommendations for management.
• Collaborate with academic and administrative teams to develop and update policies, contribute to accreditation processes and promote a culture of quality.

Required profile

• Recognised MQF Level 7 qualification or higher, preferably in Education, Quality Assurance, Educational Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Relevant experience in further/higher education, academic administration, quality assurance or compliance.
• Strong analytical, organisational and report‑writing skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Knowledge of the MFHEA National Quality Assurance Framework (advantage).
• Experience in programme review, academic monitoring, internal audits or MFHEA quality assurance processes (advantage).
