Junior Tax Professional – Corporate Tax Compliance

About the role

KPMG Malta is looking for a Junior Tax Professional to join its Corporate Tax Compliance team. You will support a diverse portfolio of multinational clients on domestic and international tax matters while developing your technical expertise in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare corporate income tax computations, income tax returns and tax refund applications.
• Assist with tax implementation strategies to optimise clients' direct tax affairs.
• Coordinate tax compliance work, manage deadlines, budgeting and planning for multiple engagements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for tax compliance queries for assigned clients.
• Monitor legislative changes, assess impact, and advise internal teams and clients accordingly.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Audit and Advisory teams to deliver a holistic client experience.
• Support team members during peak periods and eventually mentor junior staff.
• Liaise with tax authorities and external service providers as required.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in a tax environment after completing relevant qualifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good knowledge of Income Tax Acts and international tax concepts.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining quality.
• Pro‑active, self‑motivated and comfortable working both independently and in a team.
