Healthcare Information Technology Executive – Digital Health Strategy & Operations

About the role

The client, a leading organisation in the healthcare and life‑sciences sector, is seeking a senior Healthcare Information Technology Executive to lead its digital health strategy and oversee IT operations. The role blends strategic leadership with hands‑on execution to ensure technology supports innovation while protecting patient data.

Key responsibilities

• Support customers across the full solution lifecycle – design, demonstrations, integration, application support and post‑sale maintenance.
• Lead digital healthcare projects, drive innovation through technology adoption and strategic partnerships.
• Develop and implement IT and digital health strategies aligned with clinical, regulatory and business objectives.
• Oversee IT systems, infrastructure and healthcare applications to ensure scalability, security and operational effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, MDR/IVDR, ISO standards and safeguard sensitive patient data.
• Collaborate with providers, regulators and internal teams to deliver compliant IT solutions.
• Set up and maintain network infrastructure, hospital information systems and secure communication protocols.
• Plan and deliver complex IT and healthcare projects on time, within scope and aligned with strategic priorities.
• Establish IT policies, business continuity and disaster recovery frameworks.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics or related discipline.
• Minimum five years’ experience in IT, preferably within healthcare or life‑sciences.
• Proven expertise implementing and integrating PACS, HIS and EMR systems.
• Knowledge of interoperability standards such as DICOM and HL7.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Goal‑oriented, self‑motivated and proactive with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
