About the role
Assistant Manager – AML Risk Consulting Advisory Services Team KPMG is seeking an Assistant Manager in Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) Risk Consulting to join its Risk Consulting team within the Advisory function. You will work in a client‑focused environment serving financial and non‑financial sectors, including the gaming industry.
Key responsibilities
- Support the planning, execution, and delivery of AML/CFT advisory engagements, such as risk assessments, gap analyses, frameworks, policies, transaction monitoring reviews, and regulatory remediation projects.
- Translate regulatory requirements and industry best practices into practical, value‑adding solutions tailored to client needs.
- Assist in managing assigned engagement workstreams, ensuring timely, high‑quality deliverables that align with internal methodologies and regulatory expectations.
- Supervise, coach, and review the work of junior team members, providing constructive feedback and on‑the‑job guidance.
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients during engagements and participate in client meetings and presentations.
- Contribute to proposal development and support internal initiatives and knowledge‑sharing activities within the AML Risk Consulting practice.
- Stay up‑to‑date with local and international AML/CFT regulatory developments and pursue continuous professional development.
Required profile
- University degree in criminology, risk management, regulatory studies, law, accountancy, business administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of three years relevant experience in AML/CFT, regulatory compliance, or risk consulting, preferably within a professional services environment.
- Experience supervising or coaching junior team members.
- Strong understanding of AML/CFT regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and report‑writing skills.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Willingness to pursue relevant professional or AML‑related qualifications.
