Treasury Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially minded Treasury Accountant to support the Group’s treasury operations and liquidity management activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing cash flow, monitoring financing arrangements, maintaining banking relationships, and ensuring the Group’s liquidity is effectively managed to support operational and strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of the Group’s financing and liquidity strategy.
• Manage day-to-day liquidity requirements across all Group entities.
• Prepare and maintain monthly cash flow budgets and annual cash flow forecasts.
• Monitor and analyse cash positions to ensure adequate funding across the Group.
• Liaise with banks and other liquidity providers to support working capital requirements and capital projects.
• Monitor banking facilities and financial covenants, ensuring ongoing compliance and timely reporting.
• Ensure surplus liquidity is appropriately deployed to optimise returns while maintaining adequate liquidity levels.
• Execute and control payment runs in line with internal approval processes and treasury controls.
• Assist with treasury reporting, reconciliations, and analysis for senior management.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, finance teams, and external financial institutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Previous experience in treasury, cash management, or corporate finance.
• Strong understanding of cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and banking operations.
• Experience working with banking facilities, financing arrangements, and covenant monitoring.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems/ERP platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
