Ticket & Retail Sales Assistant

About the role

The Malta Experience is looking for a full‑time Ticket & Retail Sales Assistant to be the first point of contact for visitors, handling ticket sales and shop transactions with accuracy and a friendly attitude.

Key responsibilities

• Assist visitors with queries, provide information about tickets, opening times and facilities.
• Sell admission tickets, tours and packages, explaining options and prices.
• Process ticket purchases, changes and cancellations using the venue’s ticketing/POS system.
• Operate the shop, promote and sell merchandise, replenish stock and assist with inventory checks.
• Handle cash, refunds, discounts and end‑of‑day reconciliation following company procedures.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years experience in retail, ticket sales, hospitality, tourism or similar customer‑facing roles.
• Friendly, approachable, professional appearance and strong customer‑focused attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Reliable, organised, punctual and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Experience using a POS or ticketing/booking system.
• Cash handling and reconciliation skills.
• Stock management and inventory handling.
