Tax Advisory Professional

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an ambitious tax professional to join its Mergers and Acquisitions team within the tax function. The role involves supporting clients with day‑to‑day tax requests, reporting requirements and staying up‑to‑date with tax developments.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in M&A transactions, including vendor/buyer tax due diligence and structuring engagements.
• Assist with corporate group shareholding and operational restructurings and their implementation.
• Provide quality tax advice to local and international clients and keep abreast of tax developments.
• Advise clients on local tax laws, reporting requirements and other taxation needs.
• Liaise with lawyers, accountants, auditors and other service providers on behalf of corporate clients.
• Assess existing business operations and the impact of organisational transactions such as mergers, acquisitions or divestitures.

Required profile

• Cooperate and support team members, contributing to team development.
• Build relationships across Deloitte and work collaboratively as one team.
• Possess a university degree in Accountancy or an equivalent qualification such as ACA or ACCA.
• Demonstrate strong initiative, work ethic, self‑motivation and excellent analytical skills.
• Have an excellent command of English.

Required skills

• ACA or ACCA qualification (or working towards it).
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations and reporting requirements.
• Ability to read and review complex financial models for tax implications.
