Senior Tax Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join the leadership team of a dynamic professional services group. In this position you will lead the tax advisory and compliance function, oversee a diverse client portfolio, and ensure the delivery of high‑quality tax services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and evaluate the tax team, setting goals and monitoring performance.
• Oversee preparation and review of personal and corporate tax returns and statutory filings.
• Provide expert advice on tax planning, risk management and structuring opportunities.
• Design and deliver training programmes to develop technical capabilities.
• Develop, implement and maintain tax policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Collaborate with finance, legal and external advisors, acting as subject‑matter expert for senior leadership.
• Represent clients with tax authorities, auditors and external consultants.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting or equivalent; professional tax qualification (e.g., ADIT, MIT) is an asset.
• Qualified accountant with a proven track record in taxation and client relationship management.
• Extensive experience in both direct and indirect tax work.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• High ethical standards, decisiveness and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of the Income Tax Act.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with tax and accounting software.
