Senior Mobile Automation QA

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Mobile Automation QA to join our finance technology team in Birkirkara. The position will initially involve roughly 50% manual testing and 50% automation, evolving toward an 80/20 split as the automation framework expands.

Key responsibilities

• Perform functional, regression, smoke, integration and exploratory testing of native mobile applications.
• Create and maintain detailed test cases, scenarios and test data.
• Identify, document and track defects throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners and fellow QA engineers to resolve issues.
• Develop, maintain and execute automated tests for Android and iOS apps using Appium and TypeScript.
• Organise tests with Mocha and run them locally and via BrowserStack.
• Build reusable, scalable automation frameworks applying Page Object Model and robust locator strategies.
• Analyse automation failures, perform root‑cause analysis and continuously improve coverage.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in mobile quality assurance, both manual and automated.
• Proven ability to design and implement automation frameworks for native apps.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
