Senior Compliance Officer

About the role

Shift4 is seeking a Senior Compliance Officer to monitor regulatory developments, develop policies, and ensure compliance across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor new regulatory and legal developments and assess impact on the bank and its activities.
• Develop and endorse internal policies and procedures, and prepare related reports and presentations.
• Support the implementation of a Compliance Monitoring Program and create high‑quality training materials.
• Coordinate compliance regulatory projects, conduct gap analyses, and report on project progress.
• Participate in compliance testing, identify risks, and draft compliance reports.
• Ensure adherence to AML, anti‑terrorist financing, governance, conduct and internal control regulations.
• Conduct due‑diligence reviews on vendors and annual AML Business Risk Assessments.
• Respond to regulator queries (FIAU, police, asset recovery) via goAML and other channels.
• Support licensing strategy and assist the VP of Compliance and MLRO with mandatory reporting.

Required profile

• At least three years of experience in compliance, legal or risk roles within a financial institution, payment services provider, fintech, or related regulatory agency.
• Strong knowledge of financial industry regulatory requirements, especially card acquiring and local payment methods.
• Proven ability to create and develop policies and procedures.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and negotiation skills.
