Security Guard - Kiabi Qormi

About the role

Hudson Group, an international retailer and distributor active in sport and fashion wear, is hiring a Security Guard for its Kiabi store in Qormi, Malta. The post reports to the Store Manager and is a full-time, indefinite contract. The guard keeps the store safe and welcoming for customers, employees and visitors, protects company assets, prevents loss, responds to incidents and complies with security procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the store, entrances, exits, stockrooms and surrounding areas to deter theft, vandalism and other risks.
• Patrol the store and designated areas regularly during each shift.
• Greet customers and keep a visible security presence.
• Identify and respond to suspicious behaviour, shoplifting or security incidents according to company procedures.
• Support the Store Management team with loss prevention and stock protection.
• Monitor CCTV where applicable and report suspicious activity.
• Control access to restricted areas such as stockrooms and back-of-house facilities.
• Respond to emergencies such as medical incidents, fire alarms and evacuations.
• Complete incident reports and security logs, liaise with law enforcement and emergency services when needed, and support internal investigations into theft or loss.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and assist with opening and closing procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a security, retail security or customer-facing role.
• Valid Private Guard Licence issued by the Malta Police force.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and extended trading hours.
• Desirable: First Aid certification, retail experience and knowledge of CCTV monitoring and loss prevention.
