About the role
RSM Malta is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Consultant to strengthen its Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) practice and support client‑facing projects. You will work closely with clients across financial services, fintech and consulting environments to ensure they meet evolving regulatory obligations.
Key responsibilities
- Advise clients on regulatory requirements, including data protection, AML, sanctions and sector‑specific rules.
- Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and internal controls.
- Conduct risk assessments, gap analyses and vulnerability reviews of compliance and financial‑crime frameworks.
- Support regulatory reporting and ensure alignment with local and international standards.
- Design and deliver training and awareness programmes on compliance and financial‑crime topics.
- Monitor regulatory developments and provide guidance on emerging risks.
- Assist in audits, investigations and remediation projects related to compliance breaches.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years of experience in regulatory compliance, AML or financial‑crime.
- MQF Level 6 qualification in Law, Criminology, Social Policy, Business Administration or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of regulations such as FATF, EU AML directives, OFAC, GDPR and local frameworks.
- Experience using compliance monitoring tools and risk‑management methodologies.
- Background in financial services, fintech or consulting.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CAMS, ICA) are an asset but not mandatory.
