Regulatory Affairs Manager

About the role

Join MeDirect as a Regulatory Affairs Manager and act as the main liaison between the bank and supervisory authorities. You will monitor regulatory developments, support major regulatory projects and ensure compliance with Maltese and EU requirements. The role offers exposure to high‑impact initiatives and direct interaction with senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage ongoing supervisory dialogue with various regulatory bodies.
• Handle regulatory requests and share information with regulators.
• Contribute to major workstreams such as ICAAP/ILAAP, SREP, and OSIs.
• Lead the assessment of regulatory updates, providing legal interpretation and actionable strategies.
• Collaborate closely with the Head of Department on tasks and projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Banking, or a related field with 2‑3 years of experience in regulatory affairs or compliance.
• Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, with strong interpersonal skills.
• Genuine interest in financial and banking regulatory matters.
• Knowledge of local and EU financial services regulations (asset).
• Strong prioritisation skills and ability to manage workload in a fast‑paced environment.
