Product Test Engineer – Relocation to Malta

About the role

We are seeking a Product Test Engineer to join a leading semiconductor company and support the full test lifecycle of its products. The role is based in Malta and offers the opportunity to work on automation, new product introductions, and yield improvement in a dynamic, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop automation workflows and test programs to streamline lot processing and reduce manual effort.
• Support new package and product introductions by optimizing test programs and driving yield improvements.
• Refine test flow sequences to cut cycle time while preserving accuracy and product quality.
• Implement smart burn‑in sampling using data‑science insights to allow selective burn‑in skipping.
• Introduce capacitive testing to enhance detection of wire‑proximity conditions.
• Analyze yield metrics, define improvement plans, and boost production efficiency.
• Provide timely support for customer incidents, including root‑cause analysis and follow‑up.
• Investigate hold‑lot data to identify patterns, anomalies, and corrective actions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Chemical Engineering, Physics or a related discipline.
• Experience in test engineering, semiconductor manufacturing or automation is a plus.
• Familiarity with test program development and methodologies such as functional, parametric and capacitive testing.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset, attention to detail and ability to work in cross‑functional teams.
